Active Ingredient: Acetyl-L-Cysteine 200mg/ml
 
Acetylcysteine is commonly used to break down and liquefy excess mucous.  Acetylcysteine acts to reduce mucus viscosity by splitting disulfide bonds linking proteins present in the mucus.
 
Inhaled acetylcysteine (nebulization) is indicated for mucus-dissolving therapy as an adjuvant in respiratory conditions with excessive, thick mucus production.
 
Acetylcysteine is also used for its antioxidant and liver-protecting effects.
 
Dosage and Administration: Administer on the advice of a veterinarian. For nebulization, 5ml Acetylcysteine should be diluted in 3.5ml saline solution every 12 hours.
